CAHS/WNHS Intranet, Western Australia
About CAHS/WNHS: In 2006, the Child and Adolescent Health Service and Women and Newborn Health Service were formed as two separate entities from the Women's Health Service.
Project: With the formation of the new services, the intranet needed to be split into two and migrated to a new content management system (CMS) while still catering for many cross-over departments and functions.
Solution: Complete redesign, restructure and migration to CMS, MySource Matrix which enabled:
- distinct branding and structures for the two Health Services
- one back-end for multiple site publishing
- new distributed authoring and publishing model
Outcome: Considered best intranet in WA Health and used as basis for future, whole-of-health intranet model.
My role: As Web Services Manager, I gathered requirements and liaised with stakeholders; art directed design; managed migration, development and build; oversaw training, launch and ongoing review and maintenance.
