About WNHS: The Women and Newborn Health Service comprises several statewide services including WA’s tertiary care facility for women and newborn babies, King Edward Memorial Hospital.
Project: In 2009, King Edward Memorial Hospital needed to reduce the overwhelming demand of normal, healthy pregnancies being automatically referred to its facility.
Solution: Creation of new section on the public website outlining other public obstetric facilities in the Perth metropolitan area showing expectant mothers:
- facilities, locations, services
- care choices, pregnancy and birth information
Outcome: Provided information in one spot which helped educate prospective mothers and GPs about local facilities.
My role: As Web Services Manager, I developed content strategy; liaised with stakeholders; art directed design; edited content; supervised build and launch.
