About WA Health: WA Health is Western Australia's public health system.
Project: In 2009, when the H1N1 (swine flu) pandemic broke out, WA Health needed an experienced web producer to quickly put together a section with resources, information and government announcements on the WA Health website.
Solution: Completed comprehensive H1N1 Flu section and negotiated approvals from various stakeholders within three days. The section provided information for:
- the public: health information, updates, faqs
- health
professionals: procedures, guidelines, updates
- media: ministerial interviews (audio and transcripts), updates, press releases
Outcome: Scalable site provided easy access for all audiences while being easy and quick to update for time-strapped health workers.
My role: As Web Services Manager, I assembled team; oversaw section build and deployment; wrote and edited content; managed stakeholders and approvals.
