Fellowship News (FN), Western Australia

About FN: Fellowship News is FAWWA's monthly print newsletter, mainly aimed at FAWWA members.

Project: In 2005, FN was an amateur, poorly produced newsletter offering members little value. 

Solution: Completely redesigned newsletter transforming it into magazine-style publication with:

  • informative features about topics relevant to writers
  • comprehensive opportunities and competitions section
  • members' section

Outcome:  Helped increase membership and improved FAWWA's image and professionalism.

My role: As newsletter editor from Feb 2006 to Dec 2007, I created new look and style; wrote, edited and commissioned content; laid out monthly issue; managed newsletter production.
